Junior School Council

What a fantastic year it has been with our 2023 Junior School Council. The student leaders elected from each Grade 3-6 class have achieved so much throughout the school, not only benefiting our whole school community but experiencing so much personal growth as well.

For many of the JSC leaders, our major events were a highlight. These events included the National Pyjama Day fundraiser for The Pyjama Foundation in addition to our opportunity to assist the PFA with the Colour Run to raise money for our school.

For the teachers involved in Junior School Council, Mrs Kenny, Miss Lloyd and Miss Trewarn, the highlight was seeing the growth in confidence and skills from the students within this group. We regularly set and reviewed personal goals, mapping out the steps it would take to succeed. For many students, their goal was to improve their public speaking. Their initiative and determination allowed them to take the steps to feel confident presenting a speech to their class, then year level assembly and for some of them, bravely speaking at one of our whole school assemblies.

We are very proud of this cohort of amazing leaders, and can not wait to see what the 2024 Junior School Council achieve!
