Kicking Goals with Lulu Beatty

A fun day of footy skills at NPS

This past Wednesday was an exciting day at Newlands Primary School as we welcomed Lulu Beatty, an AFLW player for Carlton, and coach at Darebin Falcons, Darebin Women's Sports Club. Lulu's visit left an incredible impact on our students in Grades 4, 5, and 6. She shared her passion and expert insights into footy, engaging students in dynamic PE lessons through adapted games focused on essential footy skills like handballing and kicking.

Lulu's presence not only provided valuable exposure to the world of professional women's football but also inspired many students. Her visit reinforced the importance of determination, skill development, and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression on our oldest students.

We are very grateful to Lulu Beatty for contributing to our students' enthusiasm for sports and fostering a deeper appreciation for women's achievements in AFL.

Yours faithfully,
