Canberra Trip

Grade 6 students are having a wonderful time on the Canberra Trip this week. Highlights have been visiting the Taronga Zoo, seeing Sydney sights and visiting Parliament House where they have enjoyed watching Question Time.

Fruitful Buddies

This year Grade 3 and Grade 6 students have joined together as buddies. It’s been a fantastic time of getting to know one another, learning together, sharing, developing communication skills, and celebrating what has been happening in each other’s classrooms. We have eaten damper, broad beans and potatoes as cooked by the Grade 6 students, read books on the sunny deck, played games, and joined together to work in the garden.

In these photos we see older buddies helping train younger buddies with how to look after the garden. Since Grade 6 students are away to Canberra this week, Grade 3 is in charge of weeding, feeding, watering, and keeping an eye on things. We will be continuing their good work and possibly even doing some collecting of vegetables that we can prepare and eat. We have had very happy and beneficial times together over the year, and recently have been praying in our morning devotions for the Grade 6s and they prepare for their trip.  We look forward to seeing them back and hearing about their time.  We thank them for the ways they have shared and cared for Grade 3 students.
