GRADE 2 SLEEPOVER

Last Friday night the Grade 2 students got to experience the much anticipated, Grade 2 sleepover. For many students, this is often the first night staying away from family and plays an important role in preparing them for longer camps in the years to come. By all accounts, everyone had a memorable time, packed with a fun filled evening of challenges, games, delicious food and movie time. Thank you to our Level 2 team for organising such a great event for our students.

PREP TRANSITION

Next Tuesday, (21st of November) will be our “Little Easties” first Term 4 official transition session. The aim of these sessions is to familiarise our new students in an environment where they can interact and get to know each other. As many of these students have already been involved in our “Little Easties” program in Term 2 and Term 3, they should all fit right in. I am very excited by this cohort of students and can’t wait to see them all shine!

This session will be followed by future transition session:

  • Tuesday 28th November
  • Tuesday 5th December
  • Tuesday 12th December – State-Wide Transition (half Day)

Of course, on this day, the Grade 6 students will also step up and spend the day at their future secondary schools.

2024 ENROLMENTS

If you have a child starting at Echuca East PS next year and you haven’t already submitted your enrolment form, please do so as soon as possible or contact the school office for more information. Alternatively, if you know of someone that is hoping to start at Echuca East next year,  and have not yet enrolled, please encourage them to contact us as soon as possible.

SCHOOL CAPTAIN SPEECHES

Next Monday (20th November) is when our Grade 5 students get the opportunity to step up and run for School Captain for 2024. This is one of my favourite times of the year, as the students always manage to go above and beyond, leaving me somewhat speechless, with the feeling of goosebumps, while being so super proud of each and every one of their efforts. It is always a very close race and I cannot wait to be inspired again this year.

The Girl nominees will present their speeches in the Arts Centre just before recess, (session 5) and the Boy nominees will present their speeches after recess (session 6). I wish all of the nominees the best of luck!

PUPIL FREE DAY

Just a reminder that Friday the 8th of December is a Pupil Free Day. This day enables our 2024 team to get together to plan for the coming year. Please make sure this date is in your calendar.

FINAL ASSEMBLY

Our Final Whole-School Assembly will be held on Friday the 15th of December. There will be many awards, along with the well sought after Terrific Kids Awards, not to Mention, Mr Holmfield’s famous Hotshots! Don’t miss it!
