Music Term 4 Program

What's Been Happening in Art Term 4

The Prep artists experimented with using oil pastels by creating artwork of their own unique donuts, cupcakes and colourfull flowers in cute little vases.

 

The Year 1 students experimented with using lines and shapes by creating interesting images of teddy bears with little blankets and pillows. The students enjoyed learning about Melbourne Cup Day and using their creativity by drawing horse inspired artworks. 

 

The Year 2 students enjoyed using their hands to draw their favourite animals. They had fun learning about different Australian animals by drawing and collaging.

 

The Year 3 students learnt to observe and then represent objects, people or scenes with drawing while paying  attention to details. They loved  creating their own onomatopoeia inspired pop art whilst developing skills in paper cutting and 3D collage. 

 

The Year 4 students observed and represented objects, people or scenes with drawing while paying attention to details. They enjoyed drawing different cartoon features, such as eyes, mouths and noses.

 

The Year 5 students learnt to observe and represent animals or objects through drawing with attention to details. They explored the style of street art and developed skills in paper collage and composition by creating  ‘Invader’ inspired Paper-Pixels. 

 

The Year 6 students designed their own emblem which will be featured on a team skateboard to show individuality, unity and teamwork. They learnt to observe and accurately represent animals or objects through drawing with attention to details, proportions and perspective.
