Principal's Message

Year 5 & 6 Awards Assembly

Earlier this week we celebrated many of our students at a special assembly. It was wonderful to see so many family members in attendance to acknowledge our students and to watch several of our talented musicians perform. The major award winners are listed below:

Prep breakfast

Our annual Prep Breakfast was another great success this week. Thanks to our Prep team, additional staff helpers and parent/carer helpers for assisting with the event. This is always a special event on the Prep calendar and a fabulous way for them to finish their year. Following the breakfast, the Preps enjoyed some games and had a very exciting time!

Year 6 Graduation

We are looking forward with great anticipation to the Year 6 Graduation on Monday evening. This is always one of the highlights of the school year and a memorable occasion for students, staff and family members as we look back on highlights, achievements and special memories from the past seven years.

Carols

Our community carols are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon and we look forward to parents and carers joining us for an hour or so as the students perform their Christmas Carols. Changes to the industrial agreement for Department of Education staff have necessitated the event being shortened and being conducted adjacent to the school day, however it still promises to be an enjoyable occasion for those in attendance. We hope to see you there.

Internal Transition

The 2024 classes and teachers will be announced to students next Thursday, with students moving to their 2024 classrooms & teachers for one session at 1.10pm. 

Semester 2 Reports

The Semester 2 Student Reports will be published to the Sentral Parent Portal on Friday afternoon (December 15th) between 4.00pm and 5.00pm.

Arrangements for the end of 2023 and commencement of 2024

2023 Arrangements

• Thursday 14th December - Internal transition (students advised of 2024 class and teacher)
   
• Friday 15th December - Reports live on Sentral (4.00 - 5.00pm)
   
• Wednesday 20th December
  -     Final Assembly in the Gymnasium (12.40pm - 1.20pm)
    -    Prep to Year 5 students dismissed from classrooms at 1.30pm.  
    -   Year 6 students dismissed from the gymnasium area.

2024 Arrangements

• School office will be staffed (at reduced hours) the week commencing Monday 22nd January (excluding Australia Day)
   
• Monday 29th January - Staff resume (students do not attend)
   
• Tuesday 30th January - Pupil free day (students do not attend)
   
• Wednesday 31st January - First day of Term 1 for all students (Preps attend 9.00am - 1.00pm)

Stationery Orders (Book Packs)

Book packs will be available for collection in the final week of term. We will send home a separate communication with further details.

Staffing

Sadly, we will be bidding farewell to the following staff at the end of this year:
