GENERAL INFORMATION (2 of 2)
CYBERSAFETY & CHILD SAFETY
Online safety basics
Help your children safely navigate their digital world and educate them to avoid harmful online experiences. Explore websites, games, apps and social media together and set some rules.
Your support and guidance can give your children the confidence to make sound decisions online – and ask for help when they need it.
Three key strategies
1. Be engaged, open and supportive
2. Set some rules
3. Use technology and get information

FROM YOUR CAREERS TEAM
Year 3 Career All-Sorts
As part of an Independent Schools Victoria initiative to encourage Primary school students to explore career aspirations through art we invited five guests from our school community to come and talk to our Year 3 students about the jobs they had done in their lives.
Each of the guests explained what their job was without saying the name of the occupation and the children were challenged to guess. Our guests revealed their roles using props and clues and we had some fun learning what their job titles were and how to pronounce some of them!
We had a paediatric nurse, a paramedic, a phlebotomist, a barber and a fashion designer.
There were some fantastic questions from our students and we enjoyed listening to the answers and finding out what was scary and what was enjoyable about each of the jobs.
The Year 3 students then spent a couple of art lessons drawing or painting a job they would like to do when they are older. Some selected examples of their work will be displayed in the DC next week along with books about careers and some props for other members of the school community to see.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers: Geoff Davies, Bri Fitzmaurice, Josh Kinnes, Livia Muscan, and Annie Scott.
