A message from Stage 1
Welcome to Term 3! We hope you had a relaxing and refreshing break. Stage 1 is excited to be back and ready for another great term of learning and fun.
In the final week of Term 2, we celebrated NAIDOC Week with a range of engaging activities. Stage 1 students participated in a dance workshop, created traditional Aboriginal artwork, made damper, and crafted rain sticks alongside their Stage 3 buddies. It was a wonderful opportunity to deepen our understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
In English this term, we are focusing on persuasive texts. Students will learn to express their opinions clearly and support them with reasons. We will also continue to enhance our reading fluency and comprehension skills through a range of rich texts and small group activities.
In Mathematics, our learning will centre around measurement, addition and subtraction, as well as multiplication and division. We will explore these concepts through hands-on activities and real-life problem-solving tasks to strengthen our number sense and mathematical understanding.
We are looking forward to a fantastic Term 3!
