Farewell Bishop Shane
Schools across the Sandhurst Catholic Diocese have submitted contributions for a memory book for Bishop Shane. We want to acknowledge and thank Mikila for the artwork he completed for Bishop Shane's memory book. Mikila used his own time to create a fabulous illustration of Bishop Shane when he visited our school in 2019. The illustration depicts Bishop Shane standing in front of our Jubilee Garden.
We wish Bishop Shane every blessing in his new appointment as Archbishop of Brisbane.
Congratulations Mikila on an outstanding piece of artwork!
Religious Education across the School
Throughout the first half of term three the majority of the classes will be completing a unit of work on Scripture. The series of lessons they will complete will assist the students in gaining an appreciation for the various types of text that are present in the Bible, an understanding of how we as Catholic's interpret Scripture and explore a range of Bible stories to help deepen their understanding of the Bible its original context and its relevance to our lives today.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day
The 4th of August is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day. To acknowledge this day we at St. Therese's School hold a fundraiser for the Opening the Doors Foundation. This foundation supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children throughout their 13 years of schooling to access non-government educational settings, such as our Catholic School, enabling self-determination regarding the type and quality of education they desire for their children.
On the 4th of August, we are asking all students to wear a touch of Yellow, Red and Black and bring along a gold coin donation for the cause.
