Dear Families,
Welcome to Term 3
Thank you for preparing your children so well for the start of the term. Monday morning was filled with smiles and exciting holiday stories, and every classroom was calm, focused, and ready to learn by 9:00 am. It was a fantastic way to begin the new term.
I’d also like to acknowledge our dedicated staff for the work they did over the holidays to ensure a smooth transition back to school. Their preparation made a big difference.
We have so many exciting things happening around the school this term, but none is bigger than BOOK WEEK. Thank you to Laura Terry, who has preparations well underway for this much-anticipated event, starting with our Book Fair next week in the Church foyer. Information regarding Book Fair was sent home yesterday and can also be accessed in this newsletter - 'General School Information'.
We’ve seen several school improvements over the break. Peter Sporn has been hard at work refreshing various garden beds and landscaping the area in front of the Altiumbra. While the opening of our senior toilets has been delayed by a week, we’ve been assured they’ll be ready by Monday - and they look amazing.
At the end of last term, you received your child's Semester 1 report. Please take the time to read through it with your child in preparation for Learning Conversations on Thursday, 7th August. If you haven’t already booked a time, please log in to PAM to secure your spot.
Our St Therese's Community Collective (formally P&F) will be looking for support this term as we prepare for the Colour Run in Term 4. The funds raised at this event will cover the cost of a new playground for our senior students. The power of our community is amazing. Thank you for your commitment to improving our school grounds! Please see details in 'Community News' relating to an upcoming meeting.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in our teachers, support staff and leadership.
Principal’s Award
As part of our gift to Bishop Shane, we asked Mikila to draw a picture based on a photo taken several years ago. His work was nothing short of spectacular.
Thank you for continuing to share your gifts and support with our school community.
