Student Learning

Foundation

Students have been having fun at Skillzone with sack races and three-legged races!

During writing students have been learning about rhyming words and wrote their own poems.

Year 1/2

Reading - We have been exploring similes, and the students have been identifying examples they’ve found in their readers.

Writing - We’ve just started our new writing unit on poetry, and the students have already created some wonderful acrostics and shape poems on topics such as ice creams and winter.

Math - It’s been lots of fun exploring fractions! The students used pizza models to represent different fractions in a hands-on and engaging way.

PE - The students have thoroughly enjoyed practising their tennis skills during Skillzone.

Year 3/4

In the 3/4 area they have been busy preparing for camp. Students were very excited to attend the camp, especially the snow day! This will be the first time for many of the students that they have been to the snow! Here are some photos of their first day.

Year 5/6

Students in Year 5/6 have been working extremely hard this term. It will be a busy term with all their learning plus practising for the production scheduled for the end of this term. Please make sure you save the date - Thursday 18th September for our spectacular production! We don't want to spoil any surprises for the production and have taken photos instead of our students enjoying Art and Skillzone!
