Vision for Learners

Innovative Career Exploration with VR: Endeavour College Trials WorkWindow

Endeavour College is taking a bold step into the future of career education by trialing WorkWindow, a cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) platform designed to transform how students explore the world of work.

Currently in its testing phase, WorkWindow is being introduced as part of the College’s commitment to innovative learning.

The software allows students to virtually step into a wide range of workplaces, from hospitals and construction sites to design studios and tech hubs, offering a 360-degree view of real-world environments.

This immersive experience is not about immediate outcomes, but about sparking curiosity and broadening horizons.

Students can observe professionals in action, explore different roles, and begin to imagine their own future pathways in a way that feels tangible and engaging.

A particularly exciting feature under trial is the VR interview simulator, which gives students the opportunity to practice job interviews in a realistic, low-pressure setting.

By interacting with virtual interviewers, students can build confidence, refine their communication skills, and receive constructive feedback, all within a safe and supportive environment.

Endeavour College Pathways Coordinator, Deborah Frahn, sees great potential in the technology.

"WorkWindow is a fantastic glimpse into the workforce! Every opportunity to explore a pathway brings our students one step closer to finding their purpose."

As the College continues to test and evaluate WorkWindow, the focus remains on innovation, engagement, and discovery, laying the groundwork for a more interactive and informed approach to career education.

Year 12 Learning Conversations and SATAC Information Session

Year 12 Academic Reports for Semester 1 have now been made available to parents and students through the TASS Parent Lounge and Student Café. An email with instructions on how to access these reports was sent to parents last Friday 25 July.

Learning Conversations between students, parents and teachers fosters open communication, aligns expectations and collaboratively sets personalised goals to enhance student progress and engagement for the remainder of the year. On Monday 4 August 3:30pm – 7:30pm, you have the opportunity to meet with your child’s subject teachers at the Year 12 Learning Conversation evening.

Bookings can be made on TASS via the Parent Teacher Interviews tab. It is expected that Year 12 students will attend this evening with their parents/caregivers.

Learning Conversations will take place spread throughout the Year 7 classrooms.

Maps will be displayed at both entrances and throughout the Middle Years Centre.

On the same evening, our SATAC Information Session will take place. This session will occur on-site, upstairs in the Middle Years Centre and run from 6pm – 6.30pm. All Year 12 families are encouraged to attend to hear about the SATAC application processes for University and TAFE courses for 2026. We look forward to connecting with families on this evening. Key senior school staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data

As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusive education and in line with regulatory requirements, we are currently finalising the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD). This process helps schools and government better understand the support provided to students with diverse learning needs and plays a vital role in shaping educational planning and funding at a national level. This process provides further opportunity for the College to reflect on and evaluate our practices and monitor adjustments in place for individual student with an identified need.

Importantly, the data collected is completely de-identified—no names or personal details are included—ensuring individual student privacy is protected while allowing us to contribute meaningfully to broader policy and support efforts. Families are not required to take any action unless contacted directly. The adjustments already in place for your child form the basis of this data.

We appreciate your support and partnership in creating an inclusive learning environment for every student. For more details, please visit https://www.nccd.edu.au.

Year 12 Transition Breakfast and SATAC applications

Endeavour College kicked off the Year 12 Transition program last week with the Year 12 Transition Breakfast. Over a breakfast feast, Old Scholars shared their journeys transitioning into work or higher education. Past students from the construction, electrical, creative industries, health services, IT and other industries shared their joys and challenges of life beyond Endeavour College.

Our current Year 12s were able to ask questions and hear first-hand the opportunities and life learning they have ahead of them. This has inspired our current Year 12 students to consider their next moves in 2026.

The 2026 SATAC Guide is only available online. The link is at:

Other information documents are available for student collection in Plaza 1.

Information regarding the University and TAFE application process will be shared with students and families at the SATAC Information Session on Monday 4 August at 6.00pm in the Middle Years space.

Applications for University courses open on Monday 4 August and the early closing date is 30 September. TAFE applications open on 4 August.

Students applying for competitive TAFE courses should apply on this date as some of the courses, especially those without course admission requirements, use the application date as the entry criteria.

Endeavour College strongly recommends Year 12 students take the opportunity to attend the universities with open days coming up to learn about course content, pathways and university life in general.

Vocational Education Training (VET) Pathways Programs

VET courses are offered in areas such as Trades, Health Services, Information Technology, Creative Industries, Hospitality, Child Care and more.

Any students wishing to undertake a subsidised VET course in 2026 will need to complete the VET Readiness Orientation (VETRO) process, undertake Literacy and Numeracy testing and meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:

  • Turning 16 years of age (or be in Year 11 in 2026)
  • Enrolled in SACE
  • Completing or have completed relevant work placement, introductory VET or Industry Immersion activities.

Students with an interest in other VET Pathways programs should also meet with the Pathways Coordinator to discuss potential VET in Schools opportunities.

To be considered as a part of the Endeavour College VET Pathways Program students need to be able to demonstrate a serious interest in a specific career pathway.

All students interest in VET in Schools courses should indicate this on their Subject Selection form. Please note that there may be additional cost to families as part of the enrolment process into these courses.
