Junior School

Spirit of the Arts

Performing Arts Festival

This Term, thousands of Catholic school students across Western Australia come together to celebrate the joy, spirit, and tradition of the arts through the Performing Arts Festival. Held throughout Term Three, this vibrant event offers primary and secondary students a unique opportunity to showcase their talents in music, drama and dance.

The festival opened in Week 1 with a Mass and culminates in a finale concert, where outstanding performances are recognised and celebrated. For many young performers, this experience is a highlight of their school year. This festival provides an opportunity to shine, connect with peers from other schools, and express themselves through the arts.

This term Junior School boys will represent the College at the festival in the: Year 5 and 6 Chamber Sting ensemble, Year 5 and 6 Sting ensemble, Boys in Groove performance, Junior Vocal ensemble, Year 4 Choir, Year 5 and 6 Choir and Junior Concert Band.

We wish every Junior School boy, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Nicoletto and all music teachers and supporting staff every success in their participation in the festival throughout Term 3.

God Bless,

Student Photos

A reminder that student photos will be held on Wednesday 6 August (Term 3, Week 3). Full winter uniform with College blazer must be worn, including tie with top shirt button done up. Hair needs to be neat and tidy and brushed out of your eye-line.

Please review the Uniform and Personal Presentation Policy to ensure your child meets the guidelines. You can find the policy in the student diary on pages 17-20. There will be no before school sports training on Wednesday.

If your child's class has a sports or conditioning session on Wednesday, they should still come to school in their full Winter Uniform and bring their sports clothes to change into later.

Homework Club

4.00pm – 5.00pm

As a reminder, for boys who will be transitioning to the Homework Club in the STEM room, this club concludes at 5.00pm. After this time there is no supervision on campus. We cannot guarantee the safety of your son.

If you anticipate any difficulty with pick-up times, we encourage you to contact the school office, prior to 3.30pm, or the homework club directly 9219 1210, after 4.00pm.

Share the Dignity

Earlier this year, on International Women’s Day, the Junior School held a fundraiser for Share the Dignity. This charity organisation is working towards ending period poverty in Australia. As a College, we are continuing to support this organisation throughout Term Three. We are asking for donations for period products to be placed in the pink boxes within the Junior School Administration or main College Reception.
