Attendance Matters

Late arrivals - We need your help!
As we progress through the school year, the attendance of all students remains a high priority.
School starts at 9:00am, and it is expected that all students are in the classroom, ready to learn by this time.
We ask that you join us in reducing the number of late arrivals per week. We are confident that we can achieve this together as a team!
The average number of late arrivals per week, so far this Term, is 151. We believe this is
much too high; we are aiming for a significant reduction from this point forward.
Parents, we need your help! Students are relying on your guidance and encouragement to show how important it is to arrive at school on time.
Ways to ensure students arrive at school on time:
- Set your clock forward - trick your mind into working on a schedule 10-15 minutes earlier than it is.
- Create a bedtime routine to ensure your child wakes up refreshed and ready to start the day.
- Create a morning routine to help your child stay on track in achieving everything required before leaving for school. For example, pack your bag and set out your school uniform the evening before.
- Use positive language and praise your child for working together with you to be at school on time.
Setting a continued example on how important it is to arrive at school on time will set your child up for success in their future years.
