Media Arts (Grade 3 & 4)

Term 3- Claymation Film

In Media Arts this term, students are learning about the process of claymation, which is a stop motion film technique. Stop motion involves taking photos between the slight movement of objects such as lego or clay, and in our case, play doh.

So far, students have been critiquing stop motion film, storyboarding their ideas for their claymation movie, and trialing the use of the stop motion studio app in order to build their technical skills.

A major focus for our work across the specialist subjects is also to build our student's collaborative skills. This is a visual support we have been using to explicitly teach the skills of collaboration for our students working in teams on their projects.

We look forward to bringing their claymation movies to you at the end of the term!

Kind regards,

Emily Robertson - Media Arts
