3/4 CLASSROOM

Welcome back to term 3! We have hit the ground running starting off our first week with some Winter holiday recounts. It was great to see what everyone did through the holidays, it looks like lots of fun was had!

Once we completed our writing pieces, we had enough time to present and share with the class. Everyone did an excellent job standing up in front of everyone to read their own writing pieces. 

Last week we started reading our first book for the term: The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We are only a few pages in and the whole class is captivated by his style of writing, selecting meaningful words to draw the reader in. Everyone was keen to keep reading and want to investigate more of his books... this is a good sign that we are going to enjoy the book! 

This week we will travel each day to Aquamoves for our annual swimming lessons. Everyone is giving it a really good go and seemed to be enjoying it! 

This term in inquiry we will be looking at Australia. History. We have begun creating a timeline of important events that have happened over time. We are all keen to learn more about the history of our country!
