School Council Update

School Council Update June 2025
Welcome to the fourth edition of the Le Page Primary School Council update for 2025.
What was on our Agenda.
Confirmed that the 2026 swimming program will be moved from Waves to Mentone Grammar Aquatics Centre. This venue is a little more expensive, but we felt it offered a better experience for the students to maximise their learning in and around water. The swimming program will remain in term 1 2026.
The results are in for the lunch order trial with AJs. We received 51 votes, and 50 parents voted in favour of switching over from Classroom Cuisine to AJs Bakery. Therefore, from term 3 you’ll be able to book lunch orders on Mon/Wed/Fri with AJs and our connection with Classroom Cuisine will conclude. Note, you we will not be able to get the early fruit snack option with AJs, so we are looking into other options with local providers on a fruit snack option. Further, communication will be sent out shortly answer some of the questions received in the survey responses.
Traffic concerns were again raised around the school; we continue to chase Kingston Council on the timing of changing the traffic conditions in front of the school.
Our new sports tops have been designed, and the order placed with PWS, the tops should be available for purchase in August 2025. All students will be able to wear the sports top on their sports / PE days.
