Amazing 5/6

Term 3 - Week 4

A message from the teachers

It's crazy to believe that it is already the middle of term and what a busy term it has been! There have also been a lot of disruptions and events over the last couple of weeks and we want to thank the students for their focus and patience.

We are in the middle of our science projects and it has been so interesting watching kids come up with hypotheses, test them and then present their results. From 2 hour ice melting escapades, making bouncy balls and testing acids and bases, I think the kids have really enjoyed playing the role of scientist and getting hands on with their learning.

In numeracy we are almost finished with our fractions, decimals and percentages unit. Both the year 5s and 6s have done a fantastic job and it will be interesting to see how their test results compare to their day-to-day classroom participation.
