Wonderful 1

The 0ne-der Stars 1s

Term 3 Week 4 2025 -  Friday 15th August

What have we been up to?

The excitement in Term 3 keeps growing as our students dive deeper into hands-on learning! Here’s what they’ve been exploring this week.

In Writing, We are continuing our work on scientific reports. Last week students made wiggly worms using paper towel and water and this week the students investigated heart rates through a hands-on experiment! They practiced asking scientific questions, making hypotheses, listing materials, following procedures, and recording their results. It’s been fantastic to see them thinking like real scientists while learning about how our bodies work.

Our new focus in Maths  is on patterns and skip counting. Students have started identifying and labeling different types of patterns and are beginning to explore skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s. These foundational skills are setting us up for success in future maths topics!

In Science, we’re continuing our exploration of life cycles, and this week we had our Wild Action incursion on Thursday! The students were thrilled to meet some amazing Australian animals up close and learn all about their life cycles. It was a wonderful, interactive experience that brought our science learning to life!

Here are some photo highlights from the fortnight that was.
