Year 6 Transition to Secondary School

In accordance with the Department of Education (DET) Statewide Year 6 to 7 Placement Timeline (see below), Year 7 2026 Placement Confirmation Letters will be sent home to families on Tuesday 1st July 2025. 

Families of students that obtain a Year 7 place at a government secondary school will be required to complete and return the enclosed Year 7 Placement Acceptance Slip by Tuesday 12 August to accept the offer, or to indicate an intention to appeal the enrolment decision.  Appeal Forms will need to be lodged with the preferred secondary school by Friday 25 July 2025, if applicable.
