Principal's Message

It was lovely to see the fresh haircuts and clean uniforms as our children returned to school earlier this week. There has been a real positive buzz around the school after the break. Term 2 was a long term, and our students have returned ready to learn after their well-earned rest.
Parent and Teacher School Band – The Sheffield Roadies
Our first ever parent/teacher school band will be performing at the Battle of The Bands event at Sooki Lounge in Belgrave on Thursday 31 July. The band are called The Sheffield Roadies. They will be performing four songs along with parent/teacher bands from other schools. This is a great community event and a chance to watch some great music.
All proceeds go directly to the music programs of our school. Expect a night full of great tunes, huge energy, and serious talent - these parents and teachers still know how to rock a room!

Portable classroom removal
The long-awaited demolition of the old portable classrooms will begin on Monday 28 July. Pre-demolition work was completed in the holidays. 2A and 2B will be relocating their classrooms to the spare room in the Prep building and the Library as it will be very noisy as the portables are demolished and removed from the site. Once this is completed we can begin the process of constructing our new playground.
Mural – Parents Group
A big thank you to our wonderful parents group who have provided funds for the talented Shannon to continue the mural that she began last year in the courtyard on the ramp that leads to the Gym. See the design mock up below. We can’t wait to improve what is a drab and dreary part of our school with some bright colours.
Regards,
Michael Puddy
