St Kilda Baseball Club T‑Ball Clinics for Years 3–6
We were excited to welcome the St Kilda Baseball Club to our school to run the first in a series of fun and engaging T‑Ball clinics for our Year 3–6 students. These sessions provide students with the opportunity to develop key fundamental movement skills such as throwing, catching, batting and running, all while building teamwork, cooperation and confidence in a supportive environment.
These clinics support students to develop movement competence and confidence, learn how to apply strategies to enhance performance and understand the benefits of regular physical activity. It’s a great way for students to be active, learn new skills and experience the enjoyment of sport with a community connection. We look forward to welcoming back Greg and Cindy and the team of volunteers from the St Kilda Baseball Club over the next couple of weeks.
Education Evolved: See How 2025 Classrooms Are Changing the Game
We are thrilled to invite all parents to our upcoming information sessions showcasing how the MACS Vision for Instruction and Explicit Teaching Model are shaping learning in our classrooms. Discover how today’s teaching draws on the latest research, including Cognitive Load Theory, to ensure every student is engaged, supported and challenged. We’ll explore how modern primary classrooms in 2025 look very different to when most parents were at school with clear learning goals, high-impact teaching strategies and a strong focus on knowing every learner. These sessions are a great opportunity to see how our school is using evidence-based approaches to maximise student growth and achievement.
Thank you to the parents who have responded to the Operoo and RSVP'd to the sessions. We look forward to seeing you there!
Bullying. No Way! Week & Cyber Safety Education
Next week, our school proudly takes part in Bullying. No Way! Week, reinforcing our commitment to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment for every student. As part of our focus on kindness and respect, we are also participating with our Cybersafety learning partner, Inform and Empower to deliver learning around Cyberbullying and engaging in cyber safety sessions for students.
These sessions provide practical strategies to help children navigate the online world safely, build positive digital behaviours and respond confidently to online bullying or inappropriate content. Together, these initiatives empower our students to stand up against bullying in all its forms both in the playground and online and strengthen our whole-school culture of respect and safety.
Learning About Cyber Bullying with Senior Constable Emma Ryan
We were fortunate to welcome Senior Constable Emma Ryan from St Kilda Police Station, who spoke with our senior students about the real impact of cyber bullying on young people. Emma shared powerful insights into how online behaviours can affect friendships, wellbeing, safety and emphasised the importance of making positive choices when using digital platforms.
Her message reinforced what we have been learning through our cyber safety education, that kindness and respect matters just as much online as they do in the playground. The session gave our students practical strategies to respond to online negativity and the confidence to seek help when needed, supporting our school’s commitment to building a safe and supportive community.

MACS - School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS)
MACSSIS is a low impact, high return set of tools for creating, collecting, analysing, interpreting and using data to inform Catholic school improvement. MACSSIS produces perception data. This data tells us about what different people in a school community think and feel about their learning environment.
The surveys have been designed in alignment with the School Improvement Framework (SIF) Rubric capabilities, and gather data from:
Survey questions cover several domains, which vary across the student, family and staff datasets.
Families will be emailed an invitation to participate in the survey during the window and all students in years 4, 5 & 6 will complete the survey. Please see the letter of consent below and email the school if you do not wish for your child to participate.
