A reminder for our Year Four families that the First Eucharist Family Faith evening will be held in the Hub, this evening, 15 May, 6.00 - 7.00 pm.
If your child is receiving their First Eucharist on the 21 or 22 June this year, they must attend the faith evening with at least one adult from their family.
Year Four students who are not Catholic or receiving their First Eucharist are most welcome to attend the faith evening with an adult family member.
The Catholic Church is excited to welcome Pope Leo as the new leader of the Catholic Church.
A Eucharistic Celebration (Mass) to commemorate the beginning of Pope Leo’s pontificate will be held in St Peter’s Square on the 18 May, starting at 10.00 am Rome time.
The Vatican website will livestream this historical event.

Miss Corso shared photos of when Pope Leo visited her home town of Kyabram in northern Victoria.
Pope Leo was still known as Fr Robert Prevost at that time and Miss Corso was a very, very, very young girl.
Her father kindly shared photos and information of this event.
Some families have made enquiries about having their child baptised into the Catholic Church.
If you are considering this for your child, please contact Deacon Malcolm at the Parish house, next to the school. The parish phone number is 94016345
Pope Francis published his prayer intentions for each month at the beginning of the year. To honour the memory of Pope Francis, we will continue to publish his monthly prayer intentions until Pope Leo releases his monthly prayer intentions. Please try to find some quiet time in your busy day to pray this prayer. Thank you.
For working conditions
Let us pray that through work,
each person might find fulfilment,
families might be sustained in dignity,
and that society might be humanized.
Amen
We send our wishes to the Buddhist members of our school community who marked the Buddhist festival of Vesak on 12 May.
Vesak commemorates the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha.
This is a significant event acknowledged across the world.
