Exploring Contemporary Australian Cuisine
In Unit 1, Area of Study 2, students have been diving into the rich and diverse world of food in Australia. This term, the focus has been on contemporary Australian cuisine, with a special emphasis on incorporating Indigenous flavours and ingredients.
Students have embraced the opportunity to cook with native ingredients, creating delicious dishes such as chocolate wattleseed self-saucing puddings and kangaroo dumplings. These hands-on experiences have not only enhanced their culinary skills but also deepened their appreciation for Australia's unique food culture.
