Foundation

In Foundation, we have been exploring the topic of Change/Cambiamento in Unit of Work. We have begun exploring the seasons/ le stagioni: Autumn- autunno, Winter-inverno, Spring- primavera and Summer- estate, and how the world around us changes in each season.

Yesterday, we took advantage of the blue skies and the glorious sunshine and took our learning outside! We participated in a guided investigation of the world around us using our senses. We made observations of the environment and weather using our sense of sight/vista. Students were asked to look around them and draw all the things in the environment that showed them it was Autumn/autunno. 

It was lovely to see students draw leaves/foglie, trees/alberi, sky/cielo, sun/sole and so many other characteristics of Autumn/autunno. Some students even wrote ‘Io vedo’ independently to help guide them through the investigation. Che bel modo per osservare il cambiamento nelle stagioni!
