We had a lovely afternoon celebrating all of the wonderful mums and special women in our Preppies’ at our Mother's Day High Tea. We all enjoyed eating delicious treats and had fun getting creative with bracelet making and colouring.
We hope you all had beautiful Mother’s Day and that your little ones spoilt you.
In Maths we have been learning:
- to use language such as more and less to identify different collections
- how to measure objects, using informal measurements (blocks/counters)
- to create graphs based off data we have collected
- about capacity by identifying jars that are empty, half full and full
- how to add numbers using the count all strategy
In English we have been learning:
- the phonograms u, qu, t, h, m, n and p
- how to write a recount on events in our life through weekend recounts
- how to write a sentence using capital letters, finger spaces and punctuation
- how to make connections to texts using the story 'Our Granny'
- how to speak in front of a group to share our experiences
