Year 2

LITERACY

Grade 2 has been having a lot of fun writing procedural texts during our writing sessions. Students have experimented with humour to engage their readers and have had a ball explaining how to care for various animals. Next, we will be exploring persuasive texts and the features used to convince a reader of your point of view.

MATHS

During our daily Maths sessions we have been working on Place Value, Addition and Subtraction. The focus has been on using games as well as a variety of hands-on materials to solidify students' understanding of these concepts.

INTEGRATED

Grade 2 are exploring ‘Wacky Weather’ this term in our Integrated sessions. We had a fabulous time at Scienceworks learning about the seasons and why each season occurs. The interactive, hands on activities were truly valuable and fun was had by all! A highlight was The Planetarium and Lighting Show where we got to witness real lightning!
