Wellbeing

Wellbeing Leader: Mrs Jessica Carmichael

Fortnightly foci week 4/5~

At St Joseph’s, as a part of Catholic Education Sandhurst, we magnify the qualities and characteristics of respect, resilience and compassion in every child and adolescent, across every classroom, on every day. Our aim is to inspire and empower faith-filled lifelong learners who demonstrate growth through outstanding achievement, flourishing relationships and generous service.

We expect all children to be safe, respectful and responsible:

  • When they are safe they take collective responsibility to ensure that everyone feels safe (emotionally, physically and psychologically).
  • They show respect by being aware of others and self to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Being responsible is about taking accountability for behaviour towards myself, others and resources.

Wellbeing Week is observed in Week 4 of each term, providing an opportunity to teach valuable strategies that help children, families, and staff enhance their own wellbeing practices.

This week, we were delighted to welcome Flick from Echuca Regional Health on Monday for an insightful session on Fuelling Our Body. On Tuesday, we ventured along parts of the Walk This Way track in Rochester, and on Thursday, we embraced The Resilience Project Brain Breaks—having fun and laughing freely, as if no one was watching!

Thanks to all staff that helped bring these activities to life.

Happy Birthday ~
