Dear Parents, Carers and Supporters of St Joseph’s School,
Catholic Education Week
As part of Catholic Education Week, we opened our doors to the community, welcoming visitors to our open days and information sessions. These events provided an opportunity to explore our school communities and the educational experiences we offer families.
If you were unable to attend but would still like to visit, we’d love to welcome you for a tour of our facilities and a chance to see learning in action—you're always welcome!
5/6 Student Conference
Seven Catholic primary schools came together for an inspiring Student Conference focused on the theme of inclusion and hope. The event featured a keynote speech from Paralympian James MacQuillan, who shared his journey and insights on resilience. Students engaged in a variety of activities, including sessions with Wheeltalk, interactive SEDA inflatables, and energetic DanceMOB workshops. They also explored how we learn and how our brains function, gaining valuable knowledge about personal growth and understanding. The conference fostered a strong sense of community, encouraging students to embrace diversity and approach life with optimism and empathy.
Run for Mums
What a fantastic morning at Run for Mums! With coffee, muffins, and plenty of fun, it was wonderful to see so many families and community members come together for our annual Mother’s Day event. Each year, our numbers grow, and we love welcoming both current and future members of our school community. It’s a great opportunity to experience how we learn and play.
Thank you to our generous sponsors Bellus Studio Beauty & Skin Clinic, Capelli & co by Mikayla and Parsons Rochester!
St Joseph’s would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible local businesses who donated prizes for our Run For Mums Mother’s Day event. Your generosity helped make the day extra special for all the mums, families, and community members who took part. Thanks to your support, we were able to celebrate motherhood, community spirit, and wellness in a truly memorable way. We are so grateful for your commitment to our school and local community!
Congratulations to our winners ~Janelle, Kerrie & Melissa!
Little Joeys
We look forward to continuing Little Joeys every Thursday afternoon. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first few sessions.
If you are yet to join us, please let us know so we can order your child’s t-shirt.
3/4 Camp Kookaburra
The 3/4 Camp Kookaburra experience was truly special! It was a privilege to share this adventure with all Grade 3/4 students and staff. A huge thank you to Lauren, Amy, Deanna, Moni, and Fleur for their incredible support in making the camp a memorable experience for every child. We’re fortunate to have such dedicated staff who ensure our children have opportunities to learn and grow beyond the classroom.
Staffing

Thank you for your understanding—we look forward to welcoming Jess back soon!
P&F and School Advisory Council
Over the past two weeks, we’ve had both a Parents & Friends meeting and a School Advisory Council meeting. We deeply appreciate the time, effort, and dedication of everyone involved in making our school a fantastic place to learn and grow. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Thank you for being a valued part of our school community.
