Who Am I?

I’m tiny but mighty,

With a backpack just my size.

I’m off to learn and play,

With wonder in my eyes!

I love crayons, stories, and snack time treats,

Making lots of new friends – oh, what a feat!

I’m starting Kindy, hooray, it's true—

Can you guess who? 

It’s one of our 30 new Kindy Crew!!!

Our Kindy transition program has started strong - with 96% of our new Kindies showing up to learn and play at GEPS. Parents have learnt about our school and been supported in making the journey to Big School a smooth one for families. Thank you to Mrs Melhem who has been leading this program.

(It's not to late to enrol - if you have a little one turning 5 next year before August - ring the school office!)

This platform will be a key way for you to find out about:

• events
• excursions
• give permission for your children to participate in things
• read the newsletter
• put in an absence if you child is away sick
• see the school calendar so know what's coming up
• and pay for excursions / PSSA etc.

News from the first half of term:

• Stage 1 went on a fabulous excursion with Ranger Jamie
• Press Gang students were represented at a network learning day
• we celebrated World Teachers Day and recognised our staff
• the P&C executive held a planning meeting for Term 4
• Learning Conversations have started for Stage 3 and are coming up for Stage 1 and 2 (these are such a unique opportunity to sit and not just talk about student growth but see their work and examples of their progress).

What's coming up:

• Gold Badge assembly - Monday 10 November
• Fri-Yay Joy-Day! P&C Ice-block fundraiser - Friday 14 November ($2 cash only)
• P&C meeting Tuesday 18 November.

Planning for 2026

If you are moving, or you child will not be returning to GEPS in 2026 - please let us know at the front office. We are starting to plan our numbers and classes for next year and need to know who is leaving.

If you are returning late (after the first day - Monday 2 Feb), also - please ring the school office to let us know. Ph 9637-1562.
