Australian Mathematics Competition Certificates Presented
Last week, we were proud to present certificates to the students who took part in the Australian Maths Competition. This national competition gives students the chance to challenge themselves with problem-solving and mathematical thinking.
All participants should be congratulated for their effort and enthusiasm. It was great to see so many students giving it a go and representing our school so well.
A special congratulations goes to the students who received Distinction (top 20% in Australia and High Distinction (top 3% in Australia) certificates for their outstanding results:
Distinction
High Distinction
We also celebrated our Best in School award winner, who placed in the top 1% of all Year 5 students across Australia – an incredible achievement!
Well done to all involved. We look forward to seeing even more students take part next year!

2026 Foundation Parent Information Session 2
Please note there has been a change of date for the Second of our Parent Information Sessions for our 2026 Foundation students. It will now take place on Thursday 27th of November, again in the Library. During this session we will cover Teaching and Learning at Deer Park West PS and how you can support your child at home with their learning. We look forward to seeing our 2026 Foundation families there.
Kind regards,
