Year 10

Term 4 can be a struggle, as it is a time when Year 10 students have numerous end-of-year assessment tasks to submit or examinations to revise for and then all of a sudden that routine is finished. Even though Year 10 will be at camp and also completing the Life Ready program, with the PDHPE staff, I encourage all Year 10 students to remain focussed in class and reflect on their behaviour and engagement in preparation for Year 11 in 2025.

By the end of this year most Year 10 students have completed the NESA Minimum Standard for writing, reading and numeracy. Students can access their results via the NESA Students Online account. If your son does not have an active Students Online account please refer him to his year group Google Classroom, where he will find instructions, from me, to activate this account.

Towards the end of Term 4 Year 10 students will complete the NESA All My Own Work program. All students must complete this to a satisfactory standard to be eligible for the HSC, before they can be enrolled and submit any work for Preliminary (Year 11) or HSC (Year 12) courses.

The All My Own Work is a program designed to help HSC students follow the principles and practices of good scholarship. This includes understanding, valuing and using ethical practices when locating and using information as part of their HSC studies.

Students who complete the program will also know about penalties for cheating and how to avoid malpractice when preparing for assessment tasks.
