It was wonderful to see so many of you ready to support our students at last week’s Junior Athletics Day. A great deal of planning and preparation goes into these events, and we’re very grateful to everyone involved.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side, and we had to postpone the event. We are yet to confirm the date for the rescheduled event. All Fdn - Yr 2 parents will be notified as soon as this is done. We look forward to seeing you again then.

Thank you once again for your continued support of our students and the staff of St Francis.

Thank you for your support.

State Athletics Preparation

Our students have been diligently preparing for this week’s State Championships. Since beginning their journey in August, they have demonstrated outstanding dedication, perseverance, and commitment- qualities of which we are extremely proud. We wish each of our 28 students all the very best this Thursday.

 Go well!

Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championship

On Saturday 25th October, Milanke headed to Lakeside Stadium and competed up an age group in the U14 girls 1500m, she ran an incredible race finishing 7th with a huge pb!

She then turned around the following weekend and competed in the 800m, running well in her heat to gain yet another pb, and automatic qualification for the final. Where Milanke ran strongly and competed well in hot and windy conditions, all while being the youngest competitor in the field.

 Congratulations!

PE Awards

Each assembly week, we present a tuck shop award.

The criterion for receiving these awards is very straightforward. Students demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship, effort, and attitude will be the prime candidates for these awards.

Congratulations:

  • Mia Wood (FD) - Mia, you amazed us this week in the pool! You took on a challenge and what a triumph! We are so proud of you, your attitude and effort and we loved seeing the joy on your face. Congratulations, Mia.

  • Harriet Banks (FM) - Harriet showed incredible courage and determination in the pool this week. She took on a big challenge with a smile, gave it her best effort, and had a fantastic time along the way. A wonderful example of bravery and a positive attitude! Congratulations, Harriet.
