Sacrament of Reconciliation
Last week, on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th October, several of our students took part in a very special moment in their faith journey— the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
This sacrament is a celebration of God’s love, forgiveness, and healing. It offers an opportunity for reflection, growth, and renewal, helping our young students understand the importance of making good choices and seeking peace in their hearts and relationships.
We congratulate all the students who participated and thank their families and teachers for supporting them in this important step. It was a beautiful and reverent occasion for our school community.

Crazy Socks Day – A Colourful Success!
Last Friday, our school came alive with colour and creativity as students and staff celebrated Crazy Socks Day. It was wonderful to see so many vibrant, quirky, and imaginative socks on display throughout the day!
This fun event was more than just a fashion statement—it was a fundraiser for Catholic Mission Australia, supporting vital work in communities across Zambia. With a population of over 20 million, around 90% of Zambians rely on farming for their livelihood. Our contributions help make a real difference:
$30 provides fertiliser to grow healthy, nutrient-rich crops
$50 supplies enough maize seed to farm 5 acres
$100 offers farm management training to one person
$200 provides equipment to correctly store maize
As a school community, we proudly raised $720.10 to support these efforts.
A heartfelt thank you to all the students who participated—and especially to the parents who went the extra mile to find some wild socks for their children at the last minute. Your support and enthusiasm made the day a great success!
Memorial Day – Honouring Lives and Legacies
Tomorrow, Friday 7th November @ 11.45am, our school community, Yr 3-6 students, staff and parents will come together to honour and remember those who have passed—especially those who shared a meaningful connection with our school. It is a time to reflect on the contributions they made and the lasting impact they’ve had on our community.
We pay special tribute to those whose names are inscribed on our Memorial Wall:
- Archie Whitty
- Peter Brown
- Dave Lawrence
- Nicole Kearns
- Justin Barri
- Mick Skirka
- Helen McCarthy
- Stephanie Gwynn
- Daniel Holland
- Kevin Leyden
- Jessie Dalrymple
- Doug Chappel
Tomorrow, we will be adding another name to this wall: Ben Janssen. Ben’s connection to our school spans an incredible 19 years as a parent, and his presence and support have left a lasting legacy.
As we gather, we hold in our hearts not only these individuals but also the many families within our community who are grieving the loss of loved ones. May this day be a gentle reminder of the strength found in remembrance, and the comfort found in community.
