Performing Arts

What an incredible second half of the year it has been in Performing Arts. Throughout Terms 3 and 4, students from every grade worked together to devise their own performance items for our Arts Week concert. With our whole Arts Team focusing on student voice, each class took ownership of the creative process — voting on a film to represent, selecting their music, shaping choreography and staging ideas, and discussing the costumes and props they hoped to include. Students collaborated closely with their teachers and education support staff, refining their routines through rehearsals and truly stepping into the role of young creatives. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and willingness to try new ideas were a highlight of the year.
Our concert, A Night at the Roxy — inspired by the glamour of the Oscars — was a wonderful celebration of the talent and imagination across Roxburgh Park Primary School. Every class shone on stage, joined by our fantastic student band and even a staff band performance. The costumes looked spectacular, and it was such a joy seeing students’ visions come to life through their chosen films, songs, choreography and the props they helped design. A heartfelt thank you to our whole school community for your ongoing support, and an extra special acknowledgement to our dedicated student guardian volunteers who helped make the evening run so smoothly. Your encouragement and presence make events like this truly memorable for our students.
