MOUNT ERIN BOARDING SCHOOL (MEBS)

Mount Erin Boarding School was founded in 1890 by the Presentation Sisters in Wagga Wagga, following their arrival in 1874 to establish a convent and school. Originally a girls' boarding school, it became co-educational after the formation of Kildare Catholic College and Mater Dei Catholic College in 2004, serving students from both institutions. The original convent, built in 1874 -76, now houses the Mount Erin Heritage Centre, which preserves the history of the convent and the numerous schools it has hosted over the years.
