Chapel and Assembly - Livestreaming

Library News

We are having some fun 'not judging a book by it's cover' during our library lessons this week.

All children have the opportunity to select a lucky dip book from our displays, and I am challenging them not to open the wrapping on their book until they have left school for the day. 

There is comfort in selecting familiar books each week and trying new things can be hard, so it has been wonderful to see our children excited to take up this challenge. Many who haven't borrowed a book in weeks have been keen to take a mystery pick book home. 

Note that some of our junior school children have been able to take a mystery book home despite not having their library bag. The paper wrapping has done the job of protecting books this week, but we encourage all Reception to Year 3 borrowers to remember their bags to borrow books in future. Any bag will do - even a plastic bag from the supermarket - as long as it can provide protection from spills, bumps and scratches. Please feel free to have a chat if you have questions about library bags and borrowing.

I can't wait to find out which new favourite books are unwrapped this week!

After School Cricket Clinic

We are excited to share that additional places have become available for the After School Cricket Clinic commencing in Week 4. We would love to see as many children as possible get involved and enjoy this opportunity!

PE Week 2025

In Week 5, we are celebrating PE week, which is a whole week dedicated to being happy, healthy and active! The week is FULL of activities and excitement and includes a whole school scavenger hunt, a PE/Sport Quiz, a nail-biting Staff vs Seniors netball game and some health hustles. Select children will also be competing in an Athletics carnival against our Connected Schools network to try and regain their title of Endeavour Cup champions!

Each year, we invite families to contribute donations for our prize packs, which are awarded to winners of the week’s competitions. Suggested items include sports equipment, fidgets, vouchers, or fun stationery (such as pencils or erasers).

Book club catalogues have been sent home with your child. Please be aware that orders will close on Wednesday 19 Novem 2025. You can place your orders by going to scholastic.com.au

Parking Reminder

Just a reminder for school families to not park in the designated church parks at the front of the church please. These need to be left free for church staff and visitors and for SPLASH staff. Thank you for your understanding.
