Celebrating Our Incredible Teachers – World Teachers’ Day 2025
Today, October 31st, we pause to celebrate one of the greatest strengths of Rosanna Golf Links Primary School, our teachers. Each and every day, our classrooms are filled with creativity, laughter, and a deep commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. On World Teachers’ Day, we take a moment to recognise and thank our remarkable educators for the care, expertise and dedication they bring to their work.
When you continue reading through this newsletter, you will see evidence of their incredible efforts reflected in our 2025 Performance Report. RGLPS achieved High overall performance, with wonderful growth across both learning and wellbeing data sets. These results don’t happen by chance, they are the result of countless hours of thoughtful planning, professional learning, collaboration, and a steadfast belief that every student can achieve success.
Our teachers have worked tirelessly to refine instructional models, adapt to curriculum changes, and build strong relationships with students and families. Their passion shines through in every learning experience, every concert, every festival, and every moment of encouragement they offer your children.
A special thank you to the Golf Links Community Association (GLCA) who brightened our morning with a much-appreciated coffee shout, simple but heartfelt gesture that means the world to our staff.
Today, we proudly celebrate our teachers for the difference they make every single day. Their impact extends far beyond the classroom walls, shaping not only what students learn, but who they become. From all of us, thank you, teachers. You are the heart of Rosanna Golf Links Primary School.
RGLPS 2025 School Performance Report
The 2025 School Performance Report has now been released, and we are incredibly proud to share that Rosanna Golf Links Primary School achieved an overall performance rating of High. This reflects the continued commitment of our staff, students, and families to learning excellence and wellbeing.
Across Reading, our results remain outstanding, with 93% of Year 5 students and 76% of Year 3 students achieving in the Strong or Exceeding bands. Growth between Year 3–5 and Year 5–7 is also high, with over 85% of students demonstrating Medium to High learning growth.
In Numeracy, our students have shown remarkable growth. 83% of Year 3 and 89% of Year 5 students achieved in the Strong or Exceeding bands, and 82% showed Medium to High growth between Years 5–7. While the 2024 teacher judgement data reflected a temporary dip as we transitioned to the new Victorian Curriculum 2.0, this was expected. The revised curriculum raised expectations and introduced new content at earlier levels, requiring our teachers to accelerate student learning to match the new standards. The 2025 data shows this hard work paying off.
Our Wellbeing results were also strong, with students rating above similar schools in all domains. Highlights include 80% positive endorsement for social connections, and 76% for emotional awareness, regulation, and managing bullying. These results reflect the strength of our supportive school culture and our focus on the whole child.

2026 Transition Arrangements
Our Year 4 students will be heading off to camp on Monday 8th December, which coincides with the Statewide Transition Day on Tuesday 9th December. To ensure all students can still participate in a transition experience, RGLPS will hold its own Transition Day on Friday 5th December for our 2026 Year 1–6 students. Please note that 2026 Prep students will still attend their scheduled transition session on Tuesday9th December, and 2026 Year 7 students transitioning to government secondary schools will also attend their new schools on that date.
