Term 2 - tick!
Thank you to the many, many families that came to Discovery Open afternoon. This was probably one of our best turnouts to share student inquiry learning plans.
It is important to your child/ren that you show this interest in their learning , even if it is simple in design, as this develops confidence and a sense of 'proudness' when you listen to them.
We have so many wonderful events planned for next term for you to become involved in our school and be part of your child's learning journey in Primary School. For those of you who already have older children will already know this; once they get to secondary school you are no longer involved as much. So enjoy these primary years and come along to our events next term.
Check out the Term 3 calendar for all these events.
Please also note our two student free days next term to ensure you have these dates organised.
Term 2 has been an incredible term with so many wonderful events and amazing results within our learning programs. We were analysing our Naplan data, as we have received Preliminary data and we are continuing to show improvement across all the bands of assessment. It truly is amazing to see great results across the school for students in strong or excelling bands of NAPLAN.
Thank you to my leadership team for their amazing attention to curriculum and planning, coaching and mentoring, engagement and wellbeing. The journey of professional development we have been on is showing great results.
Thank you to my teaching staff for always showing energy and enthusiasm for learning, growth and development and for always striving for terrific student relationships.
My Education Support staff, are 100% amazing and we couldn’t do the number of social groups, intervention plans, or support programs without them. Their continued positive attitude and understanding of students is helping us to ensure students all reach their potential.
Thank you to our parents and families for their continued support and assistance to ensure that your child/ren are getting the best possible learning and wellbeing needs from the school. Your trust in us, and your partnership in putting in strategies in place and doing that little bit of homework, do actually make a difference, especially when they are unified and consistent.
Thank you for supporting our events and fundraisers across the term.
