Regional Cross Country Championships

On 17th June, three St Martin of Tours students represented our school at the Regional Cross Country Championships held at Bundoora Park. Congratulations to James S, Ellie B and Sophie B for progressing through the District and Division levels to compete against some of the best runners in the region.

All three students performed exceptionally well, finishing in the top 20 of their respective events. A special congratulations to Ellie B, who finished in an outstanding 8th place and has qualified for the State Cross Country Championships.

Reaching the regional level is a fantastic achievement in itself, and we are incredibly proud of all three students for their dedication, effort and sportsmanship throughout the Cross Country season. We wish Ellie the very best of luck as she prepares to compete at the State Championships.

Interschool Sports Finals

Congratulations to our students who represented St Martin of Tours in the Heidelberg District Interschool Sports Finals this term.

Our AFL Boys team reached the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Heidelberg Primary School 50–37. It was a hard-fought contest, with the boys mounting a strong comeback and pushing their opponents right to the final siren.

Our Mixed Netball team also qualified for the semi-finals, where they were defeated by Rosanna Golf Links Primary School. The team displayed great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the season and should be proud of their efforts.

Well done to all of our Year 6 students who participated in Football (AFL), Netball and T-Ball this term. Your commitment, teamwork and positive attitude were outstanding representations of our school.

We now look ahead to an exciting Term 3 season, with students competing in Soccer, Cricket and Tennis.
