Year 12 The Final Stretch!

As we enter one of the most important periods of the Year 12 journey, there is plenty happening for our students as they prepare for their final exams, celebrate their achievements and make the most of their final weeks together as a cohort.
Enchanted Adventure
Before the serious exam preparation begins, we are looking forward to giving our Year 12 students the opportunity to have some fun and enjoy some time together at Enchanted Adventure on Thursday 3 September.
This excursion is a fantastic opportunity for students to step away from the pressures of Year 12 and create lasting memories with their friends and teachers. We encourage all students to get involved, embrace the experience and make the most of what will be a memorable day together. Payment and consent are required and will close on Wednesday 26 August. Students must also complete the waiver and return it to the Year 12 Senior School Team as soon as possible.
Holiday Study Programs
The September non instructional period will provide an important opportunity for students to consolidate their learning and prepare for the final stages of their Year 12 studies.
The Connect English and General Mathematics Study Programs will take place on Monday 21 September and Tuesday 22 September from 9 am-12 pm. These sessions are run by an external company and are designed to provide students with targeted revision, additional support and practical strategies to help them approach their upcoming exams with greater confidence.
We strongly encourage students to take advantage of these programs. Additional information regarding these study sessions is available on Compass. Payment and consent are required and will close on Friday 4 September.
Practice Exams
Students will undertake their Year 12 Practice Exams from Monday 28 September to Friday 2 October. The exam timetable will be shared with students as soon as it is available.
These exams are an important part of the preparation process. While they provide students with an opportunity to practise their exam skills and experience exam conditions, they are also a valuable chance to identify areas of strength and areas that require further attention before the final exams.
Students are encouraged to approach the practice exams seriously and use the feedback they receive to guide their final weeks of preparation. Students are required to be in school uniform during these practice exams.
Year 12 Valedictory
While there is plenty of academic preparation still to come, we are also beginning to look towards celebrating the incredible journey our Year 12 students have shared.
Our Year 12 Valedictory celebrations will take place over two special evenings on Wednesday 14 October and Thursday 15 October at Pakenham Racecourse.
Valedictory is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to recognise and celebrate the achievements, growth and memories of our graduating students. After years of hard work, challenges, friendships and experiences, these evenings will provide a chance for students, families and staff to come together and celebrate the Class of 2026.
If you have not secured your tickets just yet, information is posted on Compass and ticket sales close on Friday 4 September.
Congratulations Liam Puncher
Liam has been invited to the MLB Showcase in Arizona during the school holidays.
This is an incredible opportunity, with Liam selected to be part of a team featuring the top 30 players in his age group from around the world, excluding the United States.
He will have the opportunity to pitch against some of the very best young baseball players in the world, putting his skills to the ultimate test on an international stage.
The event will be attended by MLB scouts and college scouts, providing an amazing opportunity for Liam to showcase his talent and gain valuable experience at the highest level.
Make the Most of the Final Stretch
There is no doubt that the coming weeks will be busy, but they are also filled with opportunities.
To our Year 12 students, keep working hard, support one another, ask for help when you need it and make the most of these final moments together.
The finish line is getting closer. You’ve got this!
