Book Week Fun!
Book Week Activities - Our Dreaming
Book Week was filled with fun activities, celebrating a diverse range of literature. One of the activities was based on the book, Our Dreaming.
The students then chose 4 images from the text that stood out to them, used water colour paints to create artworks of their chosen image, then wrote the Gundungarra and English word to match their image. They created outstanding pieces of artwork!

Education in Faith - Year 6 Prayer Service
At the end of last term, we were lucky enough to have a group of Year 6 students come into our class and conduct a Prayer Service. The focus of this prayer service was about honesty. The Grade 3/4s listened and participated reverently and respectfully and it was a lovely experience to have the Grade 6 Leaders share their work with us. The prayer service concluded with a meditation, whereby the students listened to a song about honesty and wrote and drew about a time that they were honest.
Education in Faith - Bibliodrama
We concluded our unit on Bibliodrama at the end of last term, with our final whole class performance. Each student was part of a character group: Jesus', Priests, Lepers, Samaritans and Community Members. Each group had a list of questions to ask the different character groups, who responded in character. The students have enjoyed this process and it has led to a deeper understanding of the text.
