Year 5&6

The Year 5&6 students begun their exploration of adaptations through investigating if opposable thumbs help us to survive in our environment. Students then shared their prior knowledge on how behavioural and structural adaptations assist living things to survive in their environment.

Year 3&4

The Year 3&4 students have begun their exploration of how living things can be grouped on the basis of observable features and can be distinguished from non-living things which is the focus for the term. Students learned about the characteristics of living, once-living, and non-living things and then went outside and recorded examples of living, once-living, and non-living things. Other students sorted examples of living, once-living, and non-living things due to the rain.
