We are learning to recognise and understand monologue and its purpose and characteristics.


VOCABULARY

Parody - An imitation of the style of  a particular writer, artist or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.

Satire - The use of irony, exaggeration or ridicule to expose and criticise peoples vices.

Allegory - A story, poem or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning typically a moral or political one.

Monologue - A long speech by one actor in a play or film.
