Grade 3 and 4

Science Experiments

Our Grade 3 and 4 students (and staff) are loving participating in weekly science experiments, as part of our CBL 'Discovery' unit. Throughout the term, students will move to each of the Grade 3 and 4 classrooms and engage in hands-on science learning. So fun!

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden

Our kitchen sessions looked quite different throughout Weeks 2 and 3, with our students working hard to bake biscuits to sell to the entire school to raise money for cancer research. The students had to eat some biscuit samples to ensure the quality was of high-caliber! They were delicious!

Touch of Pink- Breast Cancer Awareness

We are very proud of the efforts our Grade 3 and 4 students put into preparation for our 'Wear a Touch of Pink' Breast Cancer Awareness Day. They baked over 800 biscuits, created beautiful posters and wore a 'Touch of Pink' to raise awareness and funds for cancer research. Over $1000 was raised, which is a very impressive outcome. Thanks so much to Dimi for leading this special day.

Procedural Writing for Biscuit Decorating

Our students spent the start of Term 4 revisiting procedural writing. To ensure that relevant detail is included in our writing, we thought it was important that we created something together and then completed a procedural piece with all the essential information such as ingredients, procedure etc. So biscuit decorating it was!
