From the

Acting Assistant Principal

Dear Parents / Carers,

Welcome back to what will be the longest, yet greatly anticipated, term for 2023.

I just wanted to introduce myself as I will be working here at Rowville Primary School for Term Four. My name is Elaine Wilson and up until the end of Term One, I was the substantive Principal at Wattleview Primary School in Ferntree Gully. I held that role for 13 years and was their Assistant Principal for the preceding 2 years. Prior to that I was fortunate to have many experiences as a classroom teacher. For the past few months I have been enjoying life in retirement... this has been short lived. As Mrs Bamford is going on leave, I have been appointed as the Acting Assistant Principal and will be here Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays for the remainder of the year. I can be contacted on 9764 1955 or rowville.ps@education.vic.gov.au until my Department of Education email is reinstated.

Whilst there are things happening every term, Term Four has a myriad of events that make it seem even busier than usual! There are 50th Birthday Celebrations, Transition, Beyond Boundaries week, Christmas Parties and a Christmas Concert just to name a few. Whilst there are many exciting activities to look forward to, we all must keep students learning as a focus and a priority – there will be opportunities for downtime over the long summer holiday period!

Thanks to the staff and students who have already made me feel welcome.

Hope the start of Term Four has been positive for you.

Kind regards,

Elaine Wilson
