From the Principal

Well we have made it to the end of another term. I have said this very regularly and will continue to re-iterate this message. I could not be prouder of the achievements we have made as a school this year and across this term. It is in our nature to sometimes view things with a 'negative lens'. The way I approach the leadership of our school is very much through a positive lens. My number one priority for our great school is focused around ongoing improvement. When looking at our annual strategic plan (AIP), we have achieved many of our intended academic targets. As previously shared, our NAPLAN results which arrived this term, were nothing short of sensational. Across all areas we were at and beyond similar and network schools. It is important we celebrate these success stories, because this is what will continue to drive improvement into the future.

Early next term I will be able to share the results from our recent DET parent and carers survey. I have seen some of the initial raw data that has been shared by DET and again, initial signs show this data set has achieved some very positive results.

Put simply, my ongoing challenge as Principal is to provide the best possible learning opportunities for all students at Langy Park Primary School and for them to achieve the highest possible outcomes. We must continue to improve the areas we are doing well, have the highest expectations with learning and celebrate our successes.

I wish to congratulate all our students on their achievements this term. Thankyou to our amazing teachers and support staff who have made this happen. Thankyou to our wonderful parents and carers of Langy Park. You all assist considerably with the successes of your kids. Have a fantastic and restful break. We have a massive Term 4 coming up and I look forward to making many more success stories next term.

Stay safe,

Richard
