Mini Vinnies

On Tuesday 12 September our Mini Vinnies were visited by Hannah Taylor who is the Youth Engagement Officer from the St Vincent De Paul Society.

We learnt about how Vinnies gives real support for people in our community who are having a hard time. They do this through financial counselling, homeless services, mental health services, youth services and emergency relief. Anyone experiencing hardship can call for assistance on 1300 794 054 Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 12:30pm.

The students were so engaged, learning about the challenges of people in our community and inspired to continue to put a hand up to help. We look forward to launching our Christmas Appeal in Term 4 after being able to contribute a considerable amount of items during our Winter Appeal pictured above.
