Dear Families and Friends,

With our first week of Term 4 now nearly complete it feels like we have already packed in a term's worth of learning and activities. I hope parents were able to look over the Term Learning Overviews in last week's newsletter to see all that will be covered during the term. If you, at any time, want further information or have any questions please contact your child's teacher or Mrs Marinelli, our Learning Leader and I am sure they will be happy to help.

Our Year 3/4 classes left for camp this morning and of course we all have our fingers crossed that the weather will clear and that all the activities they have planned will go ahead. The camp is well set up to offer alternative activities to avoid the rain if necessary and I am sure that either way our children will have a wonderful time just being with their friends and sharing this overnight experience together. Experiences like this can be challenging for some children who may be staying away from home for the first time but I can assure you all that their friends and teachers will make sure they are comforted and well looked after.

This Saturday Trinity Primary School will host the refrendum voting and we will have many members of the community droppping in to cast their votes. A very big thank you to the parent volunteers and organizers who will be once again setting up the BBQ for our Sausage Sizzle, the Bake Stall and selling our now famous Tombola Jars. These sorts of things cannot be done without the support of parents and often it can be the same group of volunteers who put their hand up each time and so I encourage you all to be as involved as you can so that we can share the load and continue to build the community spirit we all like to see within our school community.

Prayer for Peace

With the recent news of rising conflict in the Middle East we are reminded that there is still so much unrest in our world and that people are still suffering from the effects of war in our world. So many innocent people are caught up in these conflicts and the loss of life and freedom will impact generations of families who wish only for peace.

Prayer for Peace: For the People of the Middle East

God of All, Protector and Redeemer,

Watch over the people of the Middle East

As their nations face struggle and strife,

In these lands and on these borders.

Grant safety to their citizens and residents, Visitors and guests,

During moments of unrest.

Grant wisdom and courage to national leaders Throughout the region.

Grant insight to their advisors And understanding to their friends.

Lead them on a path toward justice. Direct them on the road to freedom.

Guide them on the way to prosperity. Make them all shining lights of peace.

Grant safety and security to all nations, So that harmony and blessings resound From the four corners of the earth.

Blessed are You, God of All, Forging nations and peoples In the crucible of change Throughout history.

May this time of challenge for the nations of the Middle East Become a blessing for all inhabitants and for the world.

Amen
