1/2 Farm to Table Learning

 

Year 1&2 students have been exploring the concept of ‘Farm to Table’. This week we looked at dairy and where milk, cream, butter, and other dairy products come from. Students got to experience the exhausting work of turning cream into butter. Students took turns shaking jars of cream for 10 minutes to make their own butter! They certainly have a new appreciation for the work that goes into making butter!

Year 3 - Personal Development 

 

For Personal Development, we have been looking at collaboration skills. 

We put our communication skills to the test with some back-to-back drawing.

 1/2 Collingwood Children’s Farm Excursion 

 

On Tuesday 10th of October all Year 1&2 students went on an exploration to the Collingwood children's farm to study how we can grow and harvest food from farm to table. Students were mesmerised by gorgeous peacocks, got to pet goats and sheep, and thoroughly enjoyed learning about how a farm works and where some of their favourite foods come from.

Hobsons Bay Children's Week 2023

Children's Week is a national celebration that recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children.

The week will run from Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 October, and the theme for 2023 celebrates the right of all children to relax, play and to take part in activities they enjoy.
